It is really unbelievable how big temporary tattoos have become lately. When I was little, I got all my temporary tattoos from vending machines in the front of restaurants and grocery stores for only a few quarters. My smaller sister orders her temporary tattoo designs from the Internet. Sometimes she even has her whole body filled with various stickers. I think I understand why. Nobody can say that temporary tattoos aren't cool. I'd probably get some of them for myself if I hadn't grown up.
You can buy temporary tattoos in almost every shape, color and design. Of course, you have classic tattoos like: flaming skulls, eagles, snakes and all that kind of things. Then you can get yourself permanent tattoos with phrases. These always irritate me, but my sister adores them like all the temporary tattoos. She is not really picky about them. They have things like "Sexy" or "Princess" written on them. And most of the middle school girls think that this is really cute and sexy. Last time my sister had a tattoo like that. It said precious, but it was spelled “prrrrecccious” and had a cat playing with a ball of yarn on it. And some of these temporary tattoos look so remarkably real that you could easily confuse them for the real tattoo. They are designed like stencils so you can write different words on your body. And yet there are other tattoos with pictures of women, ships and they look just like sailor tattoos. Amazing! You can also get yourself "tribal" temporary tattoo designs. Such as iron and celtic crosses, stars and various spirals. But my opinion about tribal temporary tattoo design is the same as for permanent tribal tattoo designs - if you cannot come up with a specific image or phrase for you and you pick tribal tattoo instead, then maybe you shouldn't get yourself a tattoo! The collest, in my humble opinion, are the temporary tatto designs that allow you to build your own unique design. You can buy yourself a kit with a few letters and shapes and a whole sheet of temporary tattoo paper. Then you can design your own tattoos and let your imagination fly. In the end you can always rub it on your skin or just throw it away. The first time I played with kit like that, I realised that I will get a real tattoo one day. I would really like to know if my sister had the same feeling. |
